Pet food manufacturers carefully select and incorporate specific amino acids to meet pets’ nutritional needs. This attention to amino acid composition is particularly crucial in commercial pet foods where ingredients may vary, and processing methods can impact the availability of essential amino acids. By supplementing pet foods with the right balance of amino acids, manufacturers aim to ensure that companion animals receive the necessary nutrients for optimal health and well-being throughout their lives.
